# Preferences

**Settings > Preferences** groups the display and printing settings. Available to the **Manager** role only.

- **This device**: language and appearance, applied immediately on the device in use.
- **Lock screen**: the store name, welcome message and background shown when a register is locked.
- **Receipt**: the logo, the **Header message**, the **Footer message** and the **Paper width** (58 or 80 mm).
- **Credit notes**: the **Validity (days)** of credit notes issued afterwards.

Except for **This device**, these settings apply to every register once saved. The business identity, amounts, taxes and fiscal reference always stay on printed receipts.
