July 2026: the AI assistant moves into the editor Draft

Summer keeps up the pace. An AI assistant joins the page editor: describe the change you want and it applies it straight to your blocks. And your site opens up to the world: translation now covers everything your customers see, from your catalog down to order emails.

At a glance

  • AI assistant in the editor: ask for a change in plain language, it lands on the page, undoable like any other action.
  • End-to-end translation: catalog, blog, invoices and emails follow each customer's language, and you pick your site's Default language.
  • Customizable Automatic emails: subject, message and button of every email sent to your customers, with a live preview.
  • SEO: the SEO page brings together Google Search Console, IndexNow and page titles, and the new SEO audit scores every published page.
  • Domain name: buy or transfer your domain directly in Vivlab, automatic renewal included.
  • Page editor: two-step publishing, drag and drop for images and blocks, an FAQ block, click-to-enlarge images, PDF documents and popups.
  • Dashboard on mobile: menus, tables and the editor reworked for touch screens.
  • Store: bulk product editing, a discount cap on coupons, fixed delivery dates, automatic La Poste tracking and a refunded status on orders.
  • Referral: one invitation link to share, no page to configure.
  • Notifications: choose which emails Vivlab sends you.

The AI assistant in the editor

Until now, Vivlab's AI created your pages; it can now rework them. The AI assistant button, in the editor's bottom bar, opens a conversation: describe what you want to change ("make this heading white", "add a section with three customer reviews", "tighten the spacing on mobile") and the assistant applies the change directly to the page.

The assistant works the way you do: it only touches the blocks involved, without rebuilding the rest of the page, and every one of its edits can be undone with a single step back. Select one or more blocks before writing to focus its work, or call it from the sparkle icon on a block or a section. It also edits the navigation bar and the footer, shared across your whole site.

A monthly AI credit

Every AI feature in Vivlab (the assistant, page creation, product texts, image descriptions) draws from one shared monthly credit, whose size depends on your plan. A circular gauge shows your usage next to each AI feature, and the Monthly AI credit line in My account sums it up at a glance. The credit renews every month.

A site translated end to end

Site translation used to cover your pages; it now covers everything your customers can read. Product pages, categories, blog articles, forms, invoices and order emails follow the customer's browsing language: an English-speaking customer receives their order confirmation in English, with an invoice in English.

Two settings round out this coverage:

  • Default language: choose the language your site displays before any translation, useful if your main audience isn't French-speaking.
  • The editor's Language menu element lets your visitors switch languages from your navigation bar or footer.

Search engines are kept in the loop automatically: every page declares its translated versions, and the internal links in your texts stay in the visitor's language.

Your automatic emails, your way

Vivlab already sends the everyday emails for you: order confirmation, shipping updates, a welcome for new customers, refunds. The Automatic emails section of the Automated email sending page now hands you the keys: for each email, customize the Subject, add a personal message and rename the Button label, with variables (order number, customer name, amount) and a live preview of the final result.

A Custom badge marks the emails you have adapted; the others keep their original text. And thanks to end-to-end translation, each email goes out in the language of the customer receiving it.

SEO: one unified page, plus an audit

The SEO page now gathers everything that helps search engines find your site: your site description, the Google Search Console connection, instant notification of IndexNow-compatible engines, the Page title format and the Social preview of your shared links.

It comes with a new tool, the SEO audit: Run audit analyzes every published page of your site and gives it a score out of 100, with the details of what to fix (titles, descriptions, images missing alternative text, broken links) and how to fix each one. Run the audit again after your corrections to measure the progress.

One last setting in the family: the Hide this page from search engines option, in a page's settings in the editor, removes a page from search results while keeping it reachable for anyone with its link. Handy for an ad landing page or reserved content.

Your domain name, without leaving Vivlab

Until now, you had to buy your domain from a provider, then connect it by hand. The Domain name page now handles it end to end, through our partner Gandi:

  • Buy a new domain: search for the name you want, pick the Registration duration (from 1 to 10 years) and pay online. The domain then configures itself: DNS, SSL certificate and connection to your site, with no technical steps.
  • Transfer an existing domain: bring over a domain bought elsewhere by entering its Authorization code (auth code). The transfer includes one year of renewal, and the domain is then managed as if it had been bought here.

Renewal is automatic: about 30 days before expiry, an extra year is billed to your subscription's payment method, and you are warned by email if the payment fails. The domain manager gathers its DNS records (to connect a mailbox to your domain, for example), its expiry date and the Automatic renewal setting, which you can switch off at any time.

The page editor

Publish in two steps

Publishing a page now happens in two steps: Preview your page, to check the result, especially on mobile, then Publish your page, which sums up what going live will trigger before you confirm. A QR code opens the published page on your phone. Conversely, unpublishing a page now shows a clear warning about its consequences.

Drag, drop, paste

Drop an image from your computer straight onto the page: it becomes a block. The clipboard follows the same logic: paste an image, a text or a block copied elsewhere and it lands where you aimed. Images also gain an Enlarge on click option, which opens the image full size above the page for your visitors.

New block: FAQ

The FAQ block displays a list of questions your visitors unfold with a click. Write your questions and answers, pick the icon and colors, and decide whether the first question opens automatically.

PDF documents and popups

A link can now point to a .pdf document uploaded to your library (a menu, a catalog, terms and conditions), or display an .html file as a popup above the page.

At your fingertips

The editor now works with touch: move, resize and select your blocks with a finger, pinch to zoom. Touching up a page from a tablet, or fixing a typo from a phone, no longer requires a computer.

The dashboard follows you around

Beyond the editor, the whole dashboard has been reviewed for small screens: the side menu collapses, tables (orders, products, members) adapt to a phone's width and page creation flows comfortably on mobile. Running your store from a train platform becomes a normal thing to do.

Store

Edit several products at once

Select several products in your product list, then open Actions: change their state, tags, categories or facet filters in one operation, or open the editing table to adjust the fields of a whole selection, row by row, without hopping between product pages.

Better-bounded coupons

A percentage coupon accepts a Maximum discount: beyond the cap, the discount stops. You can also restrict a coupon to a selection of products.

A fixed delivery date

For a preorder or a pickup at an event, a delay in days means nothing. The Set a fixed date option on a carrier replaces the estimated delay with a precise date, shown to the customer during checkout and repeated in their emails.

Automatic La Poste tracking

For an order shipped with La Poste, tracking now takes nothing more than a number. When confirming an order's shipment, pick La Poste as the Carrier and enter the Parcel number: the tracking link builds itself and goes out in the customer's shipping email. Vivlab then watches the parcel for you and updates the order's status at each step of transit, through to delivery, with nothing to check on the La Poste website.

Refunds now show

A fully refunded order now displays its refunded status in the orders list and on its detail view, and a dedicated filter groups them. A partial refund is flagged with a warning badge below the status.

The referral program leaves its settings page for direct sharing: from My account, Enable referral generates Your invitation link, ready to send as is or to scan as a QR code. Everyone who subscribes through your link gets a discount on their first payment, and you earn a credit automatically deducted from your next invoices, tracked in the same place.

Choose the emails you receive

The new Notifications page of your account lists the emails Vivlab sends you and lets you switch each family on or off: Payouts from your sales, Your site's forms, Offers and promotions and Stock alert. The stock alert now warns you as soon as a product drops below its threshold, with a direct link to the product to restock.

Going further

This page skims the essentials. To dig in, open Site translation to prepare your languages, SEO to run your first audit, and Automated email sending to put your emails in your own colors. If a question remains, a Support request will get you a quick answer.
