Shipping rates

The Shipping rates section gathers every shipping and pickup option offered to your customers at checkout. Come here to add a new shipping option, adjust a price, change an announced delay, modify the served zones or temporarily disable a shipping mode.

Each row of the table shows the Name, the Delay, the Amount, the served Zones and the Status (Visible or Inactive) of each shipping option. When a fixed date is set, it appears in the Delay column alongside the delay in days. Click on a row to open its settings; the menu at the end of the row also lets you Duplicate or Delete it. By ticking several rows, you can Activate, Deactivate, delete or Export to CSV file them in batch.

Create a shipping method

Click Create a shipping method to add a new option to checkout. First choose the type, since each one has its own settings:

TypeDelivery methodPrerequisite
Package shippingSent to the customer's address via the carrier of your choiceNone
Click & Collect pickupThe customer comes to pick up at the store or pickup point you definedPickup location address and hours
Mondial Relay deliveryShipment to a Mondial Relay drop-off point chosen by the customer at checkoutConnected Mondial Relay account

Then confirm with Validate to open the form. If you pick Mondial Relay delivery while your Mondial Relay account isn't connected yet, a banner appears at the top of the form to remind you a pro plan is required, with the Enable the Mondial Relay plugin button that sends you straight to the Carriers page to finish the connection.

Shipping settings

Clicking on a shipping option gives you access to all its settings.

The Shipping name field corresponds to the label visible to the customer at checkout, be explicit (e.g. Colissimo 48h). The Additional information (optional) field lets you add a detail shown to the customer. For a pickup, use Pickup location address and hours to indicate the exact address and opening times.

The Pricing block lets you pick the Pricing type: Standard pricing for a fixed amount, or Weight-based pricing for a grid of tiers in kg (Minimum weight, Maximum weight, Shipping rate) calculated on the basket weight; the Add a level button adds a tier. Two options refine the rate: Add a per-item surcharge charges a Surcharge per item in the cart, and Free shipping above a certain amount offers free shipping past a Minimum purchase amount.

The Shipping area block lists the served countries, grouped by zones (Metropolitan France, Monaco and Andorra, International Europe, overseas zones…). Tick countries one by one or a whole zone in one click, and find a country with the search field.

Enable Request a mandatory detail if you need extra information from the customer at checkout (access code, floor, instructions…). The hint text guides the customer on what to enter.

Finally, at the top of the Information block, the status toggles the shipping option between Available (offered to the customer) and Inactive (hidden from checkout) without deleting it.

For a Mondial Relay delivery, the form is shorter: no additional information, no mandatory detail, no time slots, and the area is limited to the countries Mondial Relay serves (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria). In the Pricing block, the Automatically generate Mondial Relay pricing button switches to weight-based pricing and fills the grid with the pro rates excl. VAT for out-of-home delivery applicable from July 1, 2024 (France); the View Mondial Relay pricing button opens the official price list on mondialrelay.fr.

Delay and time slots

The Delay and time slots block sets the estimated delivery or pickup date announced to the customer at checkout.

By default the delay is expressed in days: pick the duration in The delay is estimated at, then the cut-off time in for all orders placed before. An order placed after that time is pushed back by one extra day. The Days of the week for delivery or pickup refine the calculation: the announced date always falls on one of the selected days.

If your deliveries or pickups happen on a specific date (pre-orders, pickup during an event, a market stall…), enable Set a fixed date and fill in the Estimated date. Until it has passed, this date is announced to the customer instead of the delay in days, without you having to adjust the countdown every day. The delay in days stays configured: once the date has passed, the calculation automatically falls back to it; remember to enter the date of your next event.

Finally, enable Set delivery or pickup time slots to offer the customer a choice of time slots (day, duration, time range) when ordering.
