Closed shop message
This page opens the closed shop page in the editor, with the same tools as your pages. It is what your customers see on the store pages (products, categories, checkout) while your store is on vacation. It shows between your site's header and footer; your website pages stay available.
Open it from Themes, E-commerce tab (shown when your site has a store).
Come here to let your customers know in your brand's tone: a photo, the date you are back, a newsletter sign-up to hear about the reopening.
Elements
The Elements button offers the elements of the closed shop page:
- Logo: your store logo.
- Title: the page title, which is the message written in the store on vacation settings. Until you write one, the editor shows a sample message and the page shows no title.
- Back to the store: the link to the home page.
The notice below the title, "The shop is on pause." by default, is a regular text block written in your dashboard's language: edit it like any text, it is translated for your visitors like the rest of your site. The link shows your store's text, translated into the visitor's language. To replace it, select the element, click it again and type your text right on the page: Enter or a click elsewhere saves it, Escape cancels. An emptied text goes back to the default one. The Title itself is edited in the store on vacation settings. You can also add regular blocks: images, texts, buttons…
Change the layout
On first opening, the page takes the structure of the original page. To start from another layout:
- Click the page background: the Closed shop page panel opens.
- In Templates, click Change, then pick Centered, Split, Dark band or Minimal.
- Confirm with Replace.
The sections are replaced, but the texts you typed on the elements are kept, as are those of your text blocks when the new template has the same run of titles and paragraphs. You can undo the change. Reset layout goes back to the original structure.
Publish
Publish layout first checks that the Title is there on desktop and mobile, shows a preview, then puts the page live with the header and footer. Until the layout is published, customers see the original page.
