Getting started
The Getting started page brings every step to prepare your site before it goes live into a single guided list: create your pages, upload your logo, connect a domain and, if you sell online, set up your products, payments and shipping. Each step checks itself off as soon as you complete it, wherever you did it in the dashboard. Nothing to confirm by hand.
It's the first page you see after signing up. As long as your site has no domain name yet, the Home menu brings you straight back here; once your domain is connected, it opens your analytics instead. Come back whenever you want to see what's left before publishing, or simply to track your progress.
Your progress
At the top of the list, a percentage indicator sums up where you stand: how many steps are done out of the total, how many are left and a rough estimate of the time remaining. Nothing to tick off yourself. A step turns green automatically once it's done, here or from the matching page of the dashboard.
Steps tagged Store only concern online sales. If your site has no store, they're hidden and don't count toward the total.
Build your site
These first steps shape your site:
- Create your first page: add a home page to start structuring your site from the page list.
- Upload your logo: your logo appears across your site, at checkout and in your emails. Upload it from your brand identity.
- Connect a custom domain: point your own domain name to your Vivlab site.
Start selling
These steps prepare online sales. They only show if your site has a store:
- Add your first product: create a product with its photos, price and description.
- Connect Stripe: enable online payments by linking your Stripe account from online payments.
- Set up automated emails: send order confirmations and shipping notifications from your emails.
- Configure shipping: set your delivery zones, rates and carriers.
- Set up taxes: define the tax rates for the regions you sell in.
- Enter your billing address: your business details appear on the invoices sent to your customers.
Go live
- Take your site live: pick a plan to make your site available to everyone. Compare plans and subscribe from your subscription.
Site preview
Next to the list, a preview shows your site's name and address, with its latest page featured. A Private or Online label reminds you whether your site is already visible to the public. While it stays private, two shortcuts help you finish: Get a domain opens your domain names, See all plans your subscription.
Your site is ready
Once every step is complete, the message Your site is ready! replaces the list. You can then open your site with View my site, or share your experience with Leave a review.
