Customer accounts
Customer accounts let your visitors sign up on your site to find their orders, follow their subscriptions, save their addresses and collect loyalty points. You manage all of these accounts from three dashboard pages: Members to review the accounts, Loyalty program for rewards, and Settings to open the member area and configure sign-in. This page covers how it all works: read it to understand what accounts are for before you manage your members or start your loyalty program.
INFO
The member area and the loyalty program are part of the Business and Confort plans. Without one of them, these pages show an invitation to upgrade; you change plan from Manage my plan.
Two ways to use accounts
On a store, the account gives each customer a personal area tied to their purchases: they no longer have to email you to track an order or find an invoice.
Without a store, accounts protect access. You publish a page or an article that only logged-in members can see, for example a professional area, reserved resources or subscriber content. Visitors who aren't logged in are invited to create an account or sign in before they enter.
Your customer's area
Once logged in, your customer finds everything in one place: their orders and each status, their active subscriptions, their shipping addresses, the payment methods saved with our payment provider and their points balance. From an order, they also reach their return requests: each return opens its detail, where they follow the refund's progress and keep the receipt issued by our payment provider. They update their own information and manage their addresses without going through you.
To give access to this area from your site, add a button or a link in the page editor and choose the Customer account action: the link takes your customers to their personal area, with no address for you to type.
Managing your members
The Members page gathers every account created on your site. You search for a customer by name, email or tag, filter by status (Verified or Pending) and open a record to see their contact details and the history of their orders and subscriptions. It's also where you assign tags to segment your customers, leave an internal note, or enter a customer by hand with Add a member after a sale closed offline.
Rewarding loyalty
The Loyalty program page sets the points program applied automatically to all your members: how many points each euro spent earns, the bonuses given at sign-up and on a birthday, and the tiers that convert points into a discount. Only one program runs at a time.
Sign-in and security
Your customers sign in with Google or by Email. You keep control of each account from its record: confirm their email address on their behalf, or end all their active sessions with Sign out sessions.
Opening the member area, Google sign-in and reCAPTCHA bot protection are all set from the Settings page.
INFO
Passwords are never stored in plain text. They are protected with Argon2id hashing, today's reference algorithm for password security.
